Membership renewal, kind of a dumb question

I have a really terrible memory, so I can't remember what I've done with my renewal in the past.

Do I just go to "goods" and purchase a membership and PJ automatially knows I'm renewing and not purchasing a new membership? I don't want to do something wrong and lose my membership number.

My membership is not up until May (if that matters), but I don't want to wait to renew.

Thanks in advance.

I am pretty sure that is the way it works, but if it doesn't, don't blame me :p
(mine is also expiring in may and that is what I planned on doing too...)
