Transferring music from ipod to computer

My hard drive recently crashed and had to be reformatted. I lost all of my songs which pisses me off. Is there any way to transfer all of the songs on my ipod to my reformatted computer? Thanks!
I'm trying to drink away the part of the day I cannot sleep away...

    Can't you transfer through the USB slot? That should do the trick.

    what do you mean by "reformatted"?
