m4a to mp3...

what is the best way to convert these types of files to mp3? is the a program that i could download to do it? thanks for the help

    I'm sure there is a much easier and quicker way to do it....but, I usually burn off the m4a files to disc, reimport them into my library as "aif" or "mp3" files and you're good to go.

    Yes, but it's illegal so I can't tell you where to get it(or what it's called) for fear of it being taken down and relocated(again) just search m4a to mp3 change in google to find it. Just joking but, ya might find something, lol.

    If you have Nero...... go to Extras and then Encode Files.

    i can convert m4a to mp3 very easily in itunes on my pc, but it doesnt work on my mac for some reason.

    Advanced bar > convert selection.....

    All you need is a file converter. There are many on the web that are free or have a trial period. I use this one:

    This one is great because it will convert M4A, MP3s, etc. to WAV for me.
