I have a mac and I 've found a program that will convert mp3's to .aiff.

If i download a concert and it's in mp3 format would converting it to .aiff improve the quality of the songs?

Thank you

no, because the base file would still be encoded in mp3 format

that's like saying: "if i have an mp3 and convert it to .flac would i get better sound."
I just don't trust anything that bleeds for five days and doesn't die.
  • Yeah, Slip Kid is absolutely right.

You get mp3 by taking a lossless format and basically stripping away loads of data from the file. If you convert back to a lossless format then the "gaps" where the data was removed cannot possibly be filled in again from the mp3.
