can anyone tell me how to add an attachment?

On my posting rules, it says I may not post attachments but I don't know why.
Any ideas??

    you cannot post attachments on the message pit. this functionality has been disabled by the administrators. aside from normal posting and vbcode, the only special feature available is the ability to post pictures on the Art Wall forum.
