The IE7 is pretty nice. It definitely a cross between the Opera and Firefox browser. It's about time they stepped it up.

    Is it better then Firefox?

I had been using IE6 before and had all kinds of problems. I eventually had to reformat my harddrive. I quickly changed to Firefox and haven't had any problems.
I'm always very worried about security issues with Microsoft products.

Yeah, i have been playing with IE7 on Vista (RC-1 Build 5600) here at work. It's about damn time they added tabbed browsing!!! But I haven't opted for it yet on my XP machines......I too am a fan of Mozilla/Firefox for XP.

Even with IE7, it would still be ideal to use another browser as a primary, day to day browser. -- Firefox, Mozilla, Opera, etc. are all fine.

For Mac, i'd recommend Safari (native) or Camino (Mozilla's mac browser.)
