Is it legal for CNBC to use "Alive" in Starbucks piece?

CNBC has a "news report," and I use that term losely, titled "Starbucks Haters" in which they use a snippet "Alive" just as they start pumping Starbucks in the piece. It's as if they are doing some sort of Starbucks infommercial using PJ music. Can they use PJ's music like that without permission?

How do you know they don't have permission? CNBC is a professional outfit--they'd know better.

Good point. However, I would hope that PJ hasn't OKed CNBC or whoever to use their music in whatever piece of crap "news" blurb they want.
