anyone know of a way I can compress a (1GB) Avi movie to play on the net. I want to add it to my website.

It works with Divx compression, but obviously not everyone has Divx codecs installed on their PC.

any ideas? thanks

At this point whomever doesn't have divx codecs installed has no business even watching it. ;)

Well you could upload to youtube and embed the link on your dite. Then it use any of your bandwidth. Otherwise, Windows Media or QuickTime is the way to go.

What video editing software do you use?

I created the movie from 600 images in software called monkey jam. its gives some compression options but divx is the only one I found to work. but then again, I have the divx codecs installed.
