    thats ok if you dont like, as long as you understand it costs a shitload of money to run this site. we should be grateful to have a 100 messages in our pm box

    It's ultimately going to be huge.

    That estimate is based on the number of members, using the maximum storage for PMs and the maximum PM size. Each PM taking up approx. 4 kb of HDD space.

    I wonder what the user database alone takes up...
    The reason is that we get sql in class now and I was just wondering how much these things take up when they grow in size

    no way. they have to have 2 or more dedicated servers for this site
