    I've got that multiple times from more than one account.

    It's annoying in the way that I get excited when I see a new pm, and then it's just a site advertisement.

    When he's online his profile always says "private messaging", so I assume that he's sending these to whoever's online. Especially since it says "Sorry if you already got this."

    spam isn't always about hawking items...more broadly, spam is "an inappropriate attempt to use a mailing list, or USENET or other networked communications facility as if it was a broadcast medium by sending the same message to a large number of people who didn't ask for it. Mass junk E-mail."

    Selling or not selling, creating a screen name to send bulk private messages to users is spamming. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
