The info i'm getting is

Counter.class

\application Data\Sun\Java\Deployment\cache\javapi\v1.0\jar.jar-66a18b46-38b449492.zip:\Counter.class

also

jar.jar-66a18b46-38b449492.zip
Virus Identified Java/Byte Variety
\application Data\Sun\Java\Deployment\cache\javapi\v1.0\jar.jar-66a18b46-38b449492.zip

please... everyone check your machines until we find out more about this virus

Cheers

oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.

  • How do you know it's from the Pearl Jam application? Do you have any other Java downloaded onto your computer? I ran a check and it never detected anything from any Java sources

  • It's what called a "false-positive" on a virus scanner.

It's not a virus, so don't worry about it.
