VIRUS DETECTED - on the Java Download application - warning!!!!

I've just run my weekly virus checker on my home PC..


two viruses are appearing from the Java application that I downloaded to enable me to get the live stuff


The info i'm getting is

Counter.class
Virus Identified Java/Byte Variety

please... everyone check your machines until we find out more about this virus

    How do you know it's from the Pearl Jam application? Do you have any other Java downloaded onto your computer? I ran a check and it never detected anything from any Java sources

    It's what called a "false-positive" on a virus scanner.

    It's not a virus, so don't worry about it.
