I click on RSS button on blogs, and I get that HTML code. What do I need to do to get the message that a blog has been posted? That's what RSS is for, yes? Do I need to set up a blog with a blog reader, and then . . . what?

gist is that you need an RSS feed reader to get content. i'm using windows vista which has a native/built in feed reader. i just click on any feed icon that i am interested in receiving content from and viola...i'm fed.

I'm using thunderbird right now to read my feeds, but it can't differ much from outlook or whatever.

You just need to create a new account, select RSS, then you just add the url to the feeds to your account.
