ipod video newbie - which cord?

i've asked already at the apple forum. i don't understand their answer and don't want to feel like a dummy and keep asking again, so i'm asking here. they refered me to a chart. i still don't understand.

i'll be buying a 160gb video ipod, which is ipod classic right?


which cord do i need to plug it to my tv?
(i don't know what's so hard about my question)

    you're welcome

    either cord will work but the first one uses the power/sync port whereas the other one uses the headphone port and you'll have a better connection with the first choice :)
