  • I use one for mac called "Handbrake" dunno if it's available for windows though.
I am so amazingly cool you could keep a side of meat in me for a month.
  • Yeah i'm wondering the same thing actually.

My sister just got a video ipod and she's been bugging me for weeks to get dvds on there. She's driving me crazy.

Does anyone know what format they movies need to be in to be able to go on the iPod?
  • This looks like a simple enough tutorial to rip your dvd's for you iPod with video.

    http://www.engadget.com/2005/10/14/how-to-convert-a-dvd-for-your-ipod-with-video-in-windows/

As the format, it has to be a native quicktime format, .mov, mpeg4, the native size for an iPod is 320x240 pixels, don't know if it rescales on it's own though.

  • I used videora ipod converter, check out their website they have some good tutorials and links for dvd rippers as well.
