How do you make your signature block hold more characters?

Everytime I try to change my signature block, I always get that it's too long and needs to be 300 characters or less, but then I look at other people's sig. blocks and they are really long. HELP! Tx.

well ... i'm not certain of this, but it could be that signatures with more than 300 characters were written when there wasn't a 300 character limit ... i'd bet that if these people try to update their signature they will have to conform to the 300 character limit ... i could be wrong though.

Nope, that's been the limit since the beginning, I think. When we switched to this board I remember I couldn't use my previous signature because it was too long. And it wasn't even that long. Over 300, though, I guess.

some people though have way over 300 characters. why?
