if any forum should be without the edit button it should be the Moving Train. why the poetry forum? abuse is the reason given. what's up with that?

    lol fins. good one.

    what would shelley do?
Down the street you can hear her scream youre a disgrace
As she slams the door in his drunken face
    And now he stands outside
And all the neighbours start to gossip and drool
He cries oh, girl you must be mad,
What happened to the sweet love you and me had?
Against the door he leans and starts a scene,
And his tears fall and burn the garden green

That button IS part of the art of poetry on this board.Plus,it gives us a good way to revise.

I totally agree and don't know why it was taken away in the first place. The poetry section is where the edit button is needed the most. it is a neccessity
  • Just a friendly, respectful suggestion. Editing hasn't seemed to me so much the problem on the poetry forum recently, as people posting multiple new threads, often duplicate, in one go, and pushing other people's work down the board unread. Maybe if there was a thread limit (not a post limit though) on the poetry forum, it would run better. Massive threads can cause technical problems, but moderately sized threads can serve to keep people's work all in one place for people to read. A moderate sized thread is a happy medium between two excesses.

Limit the number of new threads on the poetry forum, and the sorts of problems that lead to abuse of the editing facility won't happen because people's egos are kept in check.

    Love
