No more burning

I've had chronic disk space issues for a while.
I finally gave in to the temptation of removing a program that took a lot of space and whose name I didn't recognize (JD something, the icon looked like a small cup of coffee). Now I try to burn a CD and Itunes tells me "disk burner or software not found". Is there anything I can do about it? :(

My Itunes (or computer) has had issues recognizing that there were CDs in the CD tray. Could this be the issue, unrelated to the software?

I'd also like to add that you should at least get an external HD for backing up and storing important files. I do this and when an OS fucks up I don't worry about it too much because all the files are stored on 2 exhd

Ok, still it doesn't work. I just realized I've uninstalled my CD drive, but can't figure out how to re-install it. Anyone? :o

    It's a Dell Inspiron 2650.

  • meme, before i got my external hard drive for allll my music, i had deleted nearly all of my programs aside from an internet browser and iTunes.

the Mac Genius told me i didn't deserve to have a computer.

i'd even gotten rid of its calculator.

    humiliation.

Ain't that right chevy... step away from the keyboard.
