I don't understand...

the volume icon has disappeared from the lower right corner on my screen, and when I go to Control Panel and click on sounds it says "no sound device"

What happened to my soundcard?

:(

Everything was fine until yesterday...
... and the will to show I will always be better than before.

    Right click on My Computer>Properties>Hardware>Device Manager>Sound, video and game controllers....Does anything there have a yellow caution error symbol?

    You sir, have just earned a beer for whenever we'll attend a show in the same city :D

    I knew I had muted the sound, but could not get the volume icon to appear in any way... through the path you suggested, and running the troubleshooting I got a link to it :)

    On to watching the life wasted video... thankyouthankyouthankyou :)
