My Firefox is screwing up......

I have Firefox 2.0.0.3 on XP w/SP2
When I am on this board and replying to either a thread or a PM and just hit the Enter key on my keyboard, the browser errors out, wants to send an error report and then shutdown.
I hate the thought of using IE (elitist sort of thing), but at this rate, I may have to. IE7 ain't so bad anymore....I just wish they had spell check (it's always something they are behind the curve on).

Here's something to try: uninstall all of your Firefox plugins. I had the Ad-Block Plus plugin on my browser at home and one day it decided to go haywire.
...are those who've helped us.
Right 'round the corner could be bigger than ourselves.
I always try to cover the basics first, but always miss a few along the way. A few other talented individuals will help solve this one I'm certain. Ok here goes nothing.
First off, is Firefox the only app that's crashing regularily? Hard disk corruption, bad ram, dirty OS can cause issues. If everything is smooth otherwise onto the next step.
Did you try uninstalling and reinstalling the latest Firefox plugins and/or browser? I know it's been mentioned by know1, but it's good advice to be repeated.
I see you're using the most current version, so that's good. Another option would be reverting back to an older version, but who wants to do that? Check and make sure your plugins are updated. Have a look at this link here:

I've been digging around on Google, and I've been reading a bit about corrupt profiles in Firefox. It's possible that you may need to back up your bookmarks, then create a new profile, and import them back in. Check this post here on the Mozilla forum:

Here's the link on how to create a new profile:

You can also use Firetune to give Firefox optimal settings based on how you use it. Here's the download link:

Post back and let us know how you made out. Good luck!
Good to know about that stuff anyway.

When it happens again, i will try the suggestions here.
Thanks for responding!!!
See, I knew the basics would be missed here. We'll add "Just wait and see if this problem fixes itself.", to that list.
