Burning AVI files?

Will an .avi file play on my DVD player? I can burn mpeg files and watch them on it, but not sure about the .avi files.

What to do?
Are you too good to tango with the poor poor boys?

    What kind of DVD player do you have (make/model)?

    Pretty sure its a memorex. Its not old and I know it plays mpegs, cds, dvd, slideshows.

    I'm not at home, or I'd look.

    It's possible.
    Your best bet is to burn one and test it :P
