I'm trying to burn my boots using Windows media player Ver. 10, for Windows XP pro. But the program automatically inserts a 2-second gap between songs, which is very annoying when listening to a live boot. Anyone know if/how I can get rid of these gaps? I couldn't find any way.

  • You can if you have windows movie editor, it allows you to edit all parts of the music file. There is probibaly some other software that does it too but im not sure, you might want to check out http://www.download.com for a free audio editor

    A) convert the mp3s to wavs

    B) Use a different burning program that allows for 'disc at once' or '0 second crossfading'

You Cant get rid of them using Windows Media player, theres no way round it, as it uses track at once burning (burns each track one at a time)

anyway get hold of some CD writing software like Nero or Sonic Recordnow DX (or just check download.com)

if you get Nero (probably the best around) make sure you check in the options menu, there is some option that says 'gap between song' or something to that effect.

when burning a CD, always use 'Disc At Once (sometime abbreviated as DAO) , instead of Track At once burning (TAO)

    hope this helps
