Rewriteable DVD

I have one and its full. How do I record over it when I go to do so the dvd recorder says that the chapters are full?

    ive never had any luck wtih re writeable dvd's. i bought a package of them once and couldnt get them to overwrite so i through them in the garbage.

    You need to reformat it. Your burn software should give you an option to "erase" the DVD.
