im having issues with firefox and some websites. i havent been keeping track buy i know bestbuy.com is one of them. lowes.com also acts real funny too. seems sites that let you search cause the most trouble. i get script errors. is there some way to fix this? i thought firefox was supposed to be better than IE but its acting about as unstable as IE does.

the only add-on i have is the ad-blocker. but i tried firefox in safe mode and i still get the script warnings anyways. so its something with firefox.

i tried the thing listed on mozilla.com about changing the time to 20 and that didnt help at all either.

Do you have the newest stable version of Firefox, and the newest versions of Java and the Flash plugin? You might try those sites with Adblock off and see whether that's the conflict...maybe it doesn't know what to do with the hole left by the blocked content. What OS are you running, and is that up to date?

I've had no issues with Firefox, so can't help. I find it is way better than IE in my experience. Bump for you and hope someone can help. :)

I'd uninstall the current version and install the latest.
I smile, but who am I kidding...
  • I had problems with the latest Firefox, but then rolled back to Firefox 2 and all is well.

Update to the latest jre on java.com, then get rid of the ad-blocker add-on.

    OR

    set dom.max_script_run_time to zero
