I found out recently b/c I wanted to recover a deleted pic from my digital camera. You can buy recovery software online. Free versions will tease you and show you the deleted file. You must pay for the version to recover it.
Are you familiar with the term FAT, file allocation table. I was not sure what it meant when I looked a descriptions where it said it works with FAT 32 for example. I never bought it. It costs around $69.

i know about the software but im sure there is another way. cause when you delete a file all it really does is erase how to get to the file so next time you save something it can save it there. but if i have to use software id like to know a good company.

are the files in your recycle bin? if you've emptied that then you'll need recovery software.....when i had corrupted files i used

Look for "Data Recovery Wizard Pro" http://www.easeus.com/datarecoverywizard/

I have never had any problems with any of the software on that page (virus, etc) in over 6 years of knowing about them, and trying stuff.

Don't copy any new files to your PC, recover asap or you will probably overwrite the stuff you want to recover.

of course all at your own risk...

    you owe me one...;)
