Burning Reading Festival onto DVD

I know this is so far removed from the festival, but I have a question for those of you who burned the performance to DVD. I have the performance split into 5 parts: Mike McCready's interview, main set, first encore part 1 (webcast), first encore part 2, and second encore (webcast). Months ago I attempted to burn it to DVD, but the webast portions did not work. What do I have to do those files so they'll burn to DVD?

Thanks! :)

  • Find out what filetype those files are, such as AVI, RM, and so on. Then get that file type and go to google and search (example) AVI to DVD Converter, and that will find you a freeware avi to dvd converter, and once its in dvd format, it should burn along with the other files. ;) Much the same with RM, just RM to DVD Converter, and yeah.. any probs, let me know and I'll see if I can find you a prog, but I'll need the file type. ;)
  • Thanks a lot. They were ASF files. I was able to convert and burn to a DVD. Unfortunately, across the screen in neon green letters for those two portions of the performance is "Digital Media Converter Trial Version Please Register". Haha. It's better than nothing, I suppose. :)

There's a piece of freeware called SUPER (Simplified Universal Player Encoder & Renderer) that'll convert just about anything to DVD-burnable format. if you want to do it again you can get rid of the 'trial version' tag...
Oh yeah? Well, I've had about enough of morons and halfwits, dolts, dunces, dullards and dumbbells - and you chowderhead yokel, you blithering hayseed, you - you've had enough of me?
  • ^ If you wanted you should go with that option above with SUPER, sound's like a great freeware prog. ;)
