What is Host Process?

when i fire up the laptop i always get this box that says Windows Host Process or Processing has stop working.

whatever it is or whatever has happened, it has messed the system up a bit.

    you might have firewall software blocking a query for your computer to get out to the internet (DNS query for example). Check your settings and also make sure you are virus free.

    if it is firewall, why would it have just started within the last month or so? i have had the laptop for several months and haven't changed the settings.

    i check for viruses everyday.

    its typically generated by a service such as DNS being blocked (firewall) or one application running improperly and blocking another's attempts at something.
