What do you use to "crop" an MP3 or other audio?

I want to use an Even Flow solo for my ringtone, but I am not sure how to cut it out and use it.

I have mp3's of all these songs from the bootlegs and want to splice just the solo out of it.

Any ideas? Im sure this is pretty simple, but I cant remember what I used last time I did it.

THANKS!

I use CoolEdit pro, aka Adobe Audition these days
It's what we use in school, so ...

Adobe Audition is great, but you have to look around those dodgy p2p sites

you might want to try audacity

its free and its pretty good
