Happens to me all the time. Little pink lizard heads and funny olde english letters and all kinds of stuff come up and go again. It usually has something to do with where you go visit. Glad it's gone anyway. :)

I think someone told me once they're called tracking cookies or something. Maybe it was cutback???
    NOPE!!!

my advice is to use Firefox and get its addon "NoScript" will allow you to browse sites with caution and disable scripts so spywares and viruse won't hit your browse.

there is a possibility, certain spywares can trace down your browsers, cookies, cache, and passwords. It happened to once because I usually have my passwords and usernames on auto and the spywares erased them. Also they disabled my windows task manager (press alt, ctrl and delete) and online connection. I had to download a spyware remover in a UBSdrive and install the remover into my defected PC.
