SEC biased also and I gotta stay with that for this one. One factor I haven't heard anyone bring up is "the Heisman Curse". Sam Bradford did FU a favor by winning it over Tebow. I don't know the real statistics, but if memory serves me right (which is a big assumption) then the Heisman winner's team is going to lose it in the big one. I know it happened the last three years for sure (even though FU wasn't in the big one, they still got beat).

After the last 2 years, I just hope is a good game and I don't have to turn it off in the 2nd quarter- I think this may be Oklahomas year though.

I'm picking Florida. I think their defense is going to rattle Sam Bradford like nobody's business. I'm also rooting for Florida big time. That might seem odd coming from a Buckeye fan, but I'm tired of hearing about how OSU is the big game choker and the Big Ten can't compete. Oklahoma has had more BCS embarrassments than OSU by far and they get a free pass for them all, even losing 60-20. I want the whole country to see that it isn't just OSU choking or Big Ten issues, but that the entire country struggles to handle the SEC defensive lines and what they do to quarterbacks. The only team I can envision giving Florida a game this season is USC.

Ohio State better make a game of it tonight against Texas though.

I wonder what Utah thinks of the SEC right about now ... or the BCS for that matter.

I feel for Utah. I, like many, didn't think they stood a chance. But they absolutely dominated Alabama. Boise got lucky on some ballsy calls against Oklahoma a few years back, but this showed that a non-major is perfectly capable of hanging with the top conferences. In addition, the PAC-10 sweeping all their bowl games is just mind-blowingly contradictory of conventional wisdom. Once again, this season has shown that the BCS system is a joke.

That was hard to watch, but at least they showed up this year and played tough. They had their chances to stop Texas on that last drive (4th down play, almost intercepted pass) but just couldn't get it done. It's painful to have had it end like that, but considering that nobody thought they would be within 20, I can live with them losing on a clutch 80 yard, 2 minute drive by the Heisman runner-up. Got to hand it to Colt McCoy, he took a lot of hard hits but kept on playing with poise. At least the Buckeyes made it an exciting game to watch for once... more so than any big game they've played in a long time. Pryor is going to be something when he learns how to throw... bring on USC in the Shoe!

Definitely was a good game. I wish I could've watched it instead of following the stupid ESPN gamecast. One more big game on Thursday now!

It was pretty exciting. At least OSU showed they belonged on the field. My chief disappointment was that they played so well and Todd Boeckman got to get in and make big plays, and I really wanted them to pull of the upset and him to be the hero of the Fiesta Bowl... he's had a tough season and he's got a lot of heart. But there was no shame there. For once they didn't look clearly over-matched and sloppy and outclassed. They just looked like a good team that got beat by a great team.

I still think Thursday's game is going to be pretty one-sided. It's my birthday and I made my gf reschedule our steak dinner so I could watch posting.php?mode=quote&f=14&p=2149990#

At least tOSU showed up to play. They should be in a big bowl again next year, Penn State and tOSU will both rack up a lot of wins in a bad big 10 confernce again.

I would say there's no way they get 2 BCS games again next year, but unless the ACC or PAC-10 produces 2 top notch teams, there's no way they'll give 2 bowl bids to non-BCS conferences because it's all about cash and Big Ten schools travel well. Though I'm not sure Penn State should take too much heat for their loss... USC would've made anyone look bad this season.

It is going to be interesting depending on which players go pro, and if Utah, Boise, TCU can do anything. I don't see the ACC or Big East having more than one team. The SEC will probably have 2 teams between UF, Bama, LSU etc. Big 12 might only have Texas. The Pac 10 with their bowl performaces will have a big argument of deserving 2 teams possibly, one being USC of course. PSU and tOSU should roll throught the Big Ten. At least tOSU plays USC out of conference. The most important big 10 game will be tOSU at PSU.

It looks like the next few years might have PSU-OSU replacing OSU-Michigan for the biggest Big Ten rivalry game with the most at stake. I always love the PSU game... always exciting and hard fought. PSU is a great football program. But Pryor is going to hurt them next season!

It's possible that USC-OSU could dictate which team gets a crack at the title game next season, just like OSU-Texas did a few years back.

OU's field at home is named after my great grampa, Owen field. my family has season tix every year, we live Sooner football. wish I was closer to Norman to check out more games.

I did watch the Sooners kill Washington this year. they are unstoppable.

and they took down a team that averaged 11 pnts against in TCU, and scored 35 on them. Will be a good game but OU is going to roll through the Gators. That hurry up offense is deadly and when Bradford is on OU can't be stopped.
