iPod alternative?

I searched the Pit, but couldn't quite find what I was looking for. Anyway, I'm looking to buy myself a new music player. Previously owned several iPods. Personally, I think they're shit because every single one of them has just randomly broke in some way or another on me for no apparent reason. Other than that, they're great. So, I'd like to know what I could get that would be comparable to an iPod. I'm looking for something that can hold anywhere from 80-160GB and above of music. Any suggestions?

    I'd look at Creative or San Disk.

    I've looked at each of those, but I don't believe either can hold the amount of music I need it to. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure they don't.

    I guess my only alternative would be to get a Zune. Has anybody had any bad experiences with them?

    Yep, I was given one as a present almost 3 years ago and still works perfectly! Of course, I want to buy a new one, but that's just because the new ones look cool. :cool: Maybe for Christmas. :)

    I agree.

    What about Zune? I've heard they're the closest thing to an iPod as you can get.

    My oldschool 40GB from back in the day doesn't hold a damn charge anymore so I need to get a new one.

    I agree. I wonder why some people have problems? It seems like the majority don't. Maybe they are just iPod-impaired. :p;)

    i've had mine for years now, 4 maybe 5? and i've never had a single problem with it. the majority of my friends are on to their 2nd or 3rd by now, with all sorts of random things going wrong.

    and yes, my iPod is WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYY more important to me than my phone :)

    my friend has a Zune & loves it. she prefers it over the iPod. but i wouldn't personally know- i have an iPod myself

    I don't know, just every iPod I've owned and almost everyone that I know has had theirs just stop working in one way or the other.

    I think that if I weren't to just get another iPod, I'd get a Zune.
