i am going to Europe next summer for a few weeks. Anybody ever book through Contiki? Is there something better out there? Thanks

    You don't get to see anything real with Contiki. Be a bit more autonomous. If you must have some hand-holding to get you around from one city to the next, go Busabout.
    115 bucks for half a haircut by a novice? I want my money back!
  • yeah maybe you are right. i didnt think of it as them holding my hand though. i am traveling solo, so thought it might take some of the confusion out of it, but i guess that could be part of the adventure too.

    I took a tour through Top Deck and it was the best month of my life! It was nice to not have to think about anything except showing up at the bus in the morning. I went out every night with my crew of people and made some friends I still keep in touch with. It was my first trip to Europe so I got a little taste of a lot of places. The next time I go back I will know where I want to go and where I don't want to go.
