First of all I absolutely can't stand vacuum cleaners. They are needlessly noisy. You'd think they'd've made them quieter by now.

P.S. I once saw a midget get sucked up by a vacuum-cleaner.

  • but they're right up there with lawn mowers on awesome items to scare pet cats :o
    wah
  • Lawn mowers are pretty loud too. My dog isn't really scared of the vacuum cleaner. He likes it. He loves it. He thinks it's the bees knees.

I'm perfectly fine with just letting a layer of scum accumulate on the floor.

    Bee's knees.
  • I think my cat started this thread.

I was thinking my 2 year old started it.

I agree, though. They are way too loud.

I want that new dyson one. As lame as it is to get excited about a vacuum, it's little and it has that ball thingy... It just looks like it would be fun to use. :o
  • My parents' dog was trained with a vacuum. When he was a pup mom noticed he was deathly afraid of it, so when he started acting up she would put it in the middle of the floor and he would sit in the corner and stare it. He's nine years old now and it still would still work if he ever acted crazy anymore because he still hates it.

I, too, hate vacuums, which is precsiely the reason I do not use one. A little dirt never hurt anybody
All I have to do is revel in the everyday....then do it again tomorrow

They say every sin is deadly but I believe they may be wrong...I'm guilty of all seven and I don't feel too bad at all

We have a Dyson. Not the ball one though. It was a wedding shower gift. Turns out it's like $500. Ridiculous.
  • i give vacuums props. beats being on the floor with a roll of masking tape picking up bits and pieces everywhere.

We have hardwood floors from top to bottom...

My girlfriend went out and found a vacuum specially made for hardwood floors... :fp:

That's why some people like the old tank type vacs. Switch the hose to the other end and they blow.

  • Vacuum cleaners freak me out as if I were a cat. I hate the noise they make. I can't hear what else might me going on in the room when they're on and it makes me nervous.

And, my vacuum cleaner can fuck off for mostly breaking right when I was trying to prep for my mom's visit.

These are pretty cool. My parents have one at their house. As a kid whenever my mom would use it I'd lift one of the other outlets up in the house breaking the suction of the vacuum cleaner. Used to really piss her off.
