Mike is the best. I totally wasn't expecting the pic, so Anna Knowlden is the best as well.
She gave me the opportunity to get backstage. I was mostly concerned about getting my 'Given to Fly' CD signed. I won it at the Flight to Mars show and it was supposed to be signed, but wasn't.
However, things worked out for the best. My mom has had a super tough year, she's making a lot of exciting changes and she recently told me that 'Given to Fly' is now her favorite song and she loves blasting it on the way to work.
They were showing the VFC doc at the show that night, which was also special to me and my mother. We went to a few of the shows together and had a great time seeing other parts of the country, especially Philly.
My mom's birthday is 11/08, which fell on the Saturday after this show. I thought 'How Freaking Perfect!!!!, so I had Mike sign the single to my Mom, Happy Birthday and all.
I haven't given it to her yet, 'cause I want to see how she reacts to it. I get to present it to her on the 2nd and can't wait.
