hi all. i know i haven't posted hardly at all, but i have a HUGE favor to ask. i've got virus problems on one of my work PC's. it's telling me i have a trojan.zlob virus/worm/whatever. i've tried symantec anti-virus, spybot, system restore, etc. none have worked. i'm hesitant to try the solutions from some random website. any info would be GREATLY appreciated.
ps.- no, i wasn't looking at porn. i'm actually trying to fix a problem for a coworker (who may or may not have been looking at porn).

On the stubborn ones I usually manually scrub through the run line in the registry, and nuke some files by hand. Sometimes you have to end tasks then quickly delete a file or two, as the some viruses automatically reload once terminated. This is probably what's happening in your case.
Boot and scan with fresh adware and spybot installs in safe mode by holding F8 on the boot up.
also def check out and use:

The TM scan will take a long time (like an hour or more) depending on the computer.
good luck, you may want to reinstall the antivirus protection and use AVG over symantec....

There's no one program that does it all every time (unfortunately) I've found. The TD20 (the K is for black) is the top end kit with all the goodies. Get a nice pair of reference quality headphones, and it's like stepping into a recording studio...or a concert hall...depending on how you want to model the room acoustics. Crazy fun.

i've got a DW pacific series acoustic kit at home now. got it because it was the most reasonably affordable, better sounding kit i could get that had a smaller bass drum and toms. i'm seriously considering cutting my loses, selling it and all the cymbals, rack, etc. for what i can get and buying the electronic kit. with my work hours and living situation, electronic is the only way i'll be able to play on any kind of regular basis.
Get a Mac.

while that very well may be a good choice, it's not really a choice i am able to make at/for my work.
I know the feeling well...too well.
The kick still puts a good deal of vibration into the floor, but a foam rubber mat helps dramatically if you're in an apartment situation. It's best to have no one living below you, or have concrete floors with some dampening. Drums are a loud animal. I can't concentrate fully on my chops if I know I'm probably ticking off my neighbors on the noise front. Another definite plus is feeding in the music levels so perfectly and cleanly that you sound exactly like part of the song during it's creation....so nice at any volume. This is a bit trickier to be satisfied with on an acoustic set. I found my playing took of in leaps and bounds once I could play any time of the day I wanted to.
