How do I know when I need to replace my stylus? I mean tell tale signs that you can hear or see. I don't want to ruin a record to find out I need to change it out. Thanks in advance.

    crackling distortion...

the usual motto is about every 1000 plays.

Of coarse if you're like everyone in the world who doesn't keep track of how often you play your records. I would change it every 3 years if you're using it moderately.

That translates into 1 record per day, based on the 1000 plays rule.

Thanks, that helps a lot. I have only had my player for about a year and a half so I got a little time cause I don't play records everyday.

    Peace
