Great ones! Just walked through Times Square so I can relate to the awesomeness of Broadway.

Rent is the best. You should see Spring Awakening, The Jersey Boys.

Don't see Young Frankenstein- was very dissapointed as I loved the Producers.

I went to see Spamalot when I was in New York and I loved it. I really wanna go back and see the lion king though.

I love musicals.. if I could do anything in life, I'd be the lead in a musical on broadway!

    I've seen
Wizard of OZ (When Roseanne was the witch) (On Broadway)
Christmas Carol 3 times (On Broadway)
    Les Miserables (On Broadway
Rent (In London, and in Chicago)
    Wicked (Chicago)
    The Buddy Holly Story (London)

and many smaller musical productions off Broadway.

I thought Young Frankenstein was awesome, but I think that the funniest musical that I have seen was the 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee.

The only show I've actually seen on Broadway was The Color Purple. It ROCKED!

I saw Blast! in London. It was at the Hammersmith Apollo (is that right?) for a year or two before it was on Broadway. I liked it so much I saw it every night I was there - 7 times in a row. (Plus, that place really did have the best hot dogs I've ever had in my life.)

Otherwise, I always get season tickets for the touring shows that come to our local theater. Saw Oliver! this weekend and it was okay. Up next is the 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, so I'm glad to hear it's good. :)
  • I'm taking my mom to see Chicago this weekend.

I took my wife to see Legally Blonde for her birthday last month. Will she ever take me to a strip club for my birthday? No way. Life's not fair.

I agree, hysterical. Avenue D was up my alley also.

I enjoy broadway shows too, which I guess is an abnormality for a late 20s straight male...

    On Broadway I've seen:
    Rent
    Jesus Christ Superstar
    Phantom of the Opera

In London (about 15 years ago), I saw:

Only the Lonely - The Roy Orbison story
    Blood Brothers

Seen a ton of other shows in the Philly area too.

I was in NYC at the end of May for 4 days and we saw: Wicked, Avenue Q and Spamalot. I agree with all the OP's short reviews, except I'd say Spamalot had some sort of funny parts, not very funny (just not my thing).

Going to Broadway shows was my favourite part of the trip.
