    Noone is actually two words.
Despite that, I think you're quickly approaching Dunk in your eleven posts for my favorite board member.

    I don't care for soccer.

lol..yeah this thread will go over big with all the European fans...I don't know Im not a big sports fan but I don't think it will ever take off here. We are all about football and baseball.

Yes,for the amount of pro teams in the state(at any sport),there never seems to be big crowds at anything.

Ahh yes Football, that game that is played 95% of the time with the ball in players hands.;)
Soccer is called Football in Europe and the majority of the world because it is played primarily with the ball at the foot hence foot-ball.:)
And dont worry I'm a big fan of both sports the Packers are my team and have been since I was 9 or so and Brett Farve is a hero of mine, I just find it odd that you call it Football.:)

When you look at it though, Ice Hockey has a largely diminishing interest in the states as well these days, another sport I love, yet obesity is becoming for lack of better wording a bigger problem, do you think there is any correlation in this?

I like how the players go down like they've been shot by snipers and out comes the stretcher. Yet, I've never seen the "medics" take c-spine precautions...

speaking of which, i'd much rather watch curling on tv than soccer, why can't they show more curling on tv?

No no, that is a misconception.
Most of us don't really like curling, but it is one of 2 or 3 sports in which we have some successful participants so some of us (them) pretend to like it.

I love soccer, but it is one of those things where if someone doesn't get it I won't bother explaining it because they'll never get it.

How can someone 'never get it'? They'll never get it only if they never want to, in which case they didn't want you to waste their time trying to get them to get it in the first place, and are probably wishing you'd change the channel.

Only Americans call it soccer. Everyone else calls it by it's real name.

    yeah.... fitbaw
oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.

The MLS is easier to watch this year. It looks a little less like the kick and run soccer that 3rd graders often participate in. :)
