    Think of our city what you will....And you must not know much about ball except for that your team bought themselves a championship. If you know anything, then you should know the Sixers could very well end up against your team in the conference finals. Right now I go Celtics, Pistons, Sixers, Magic, Cavs.

    Teams make trades all the time to better themselves. Sure, we went after Garnett and Allen in hopes of a title. It wasn't that long ago that Abreu and Thome and Rowand were with the Phillies. Hey, wasn't The Flyin Hawaiian with San Diego a couple of years ago? Why do you think they acquired Matt Stairs when they did? To make them worse??? Anytime you can make your team better to win a title and it's financially feasable, why not? Apparently you're not to up on "ball" or you'd understand the situation better.

Difference is when Garnett and Allen start making even more money or leave it's gonna either a) screw the team for the present or b) screw the team for the future.     No one said anything about whining (at least I didn't). All I said was win the 4th game first. As far as Garnett and Allen are concerned, hey if the Celtics win again in the next couple of years, and those 2 along with Pierce are the catalysts for winning the title, by all means they should earn a little more. Danny Ainge won the title and subsequently got a raise and a promotion. I wish Al Jefferson stayed, but who even knows if he'd have won in the system. The Celtics farm system has been sputtering for years, so I personally had no problem going for it now if they could get all the cogs in the wheel in there and it was financially feasible. And it paid off. Quite frankly, they have a legit shot for the next couple of years. Not saying it will definitely happen, but they're certainly in the mix now. They were in worst place 2 years ago and probably would've been there for a while.
