4-2 yes, but losing Rodney is a huge blow ... the secondary is already a bit shaky ...

bainf_of_c ... you're in Elmira ... figured you to be a bills fan, or maybe a Jets fan ... if you are a PAts fan, you're pretty lonely out there I bet ... :)

I mean, he might be done for his career, heaven forbid. At least SF 49's coach (Mike something) will have a job (and walk) sometime soon.

  • The guy is overrated anyway. He's not very good in coverage and he's lost a step. He's basically an extra linebacker who calls himself a safety. The league is changing, the safety position needs to be able to cover. Every team has 3 WR formations. TE's now run in the 4.40 range. Harrison is outdated. Had the Pats had a good cover safety last year they would have won it all. If your going to have a safety like Rodney then you need 2 great CB's and another safety who can cover. The Pats have none of those. The only place he'll be missed is as a leader.

well, Harrison's playing careeer might be over, sure, any time a 36 year old suffers a season ending injury, it could be career threatening.

But, he will probably stay in football somehow.

Not sure your comparison to Mike Nolan is really a sound comparison ...

just bringing up that they're both out of football on the same day (Monday night) and are getting news coverage, but yes they're out for different reasons.

He is a good leader, yes. By the way, speaking of defense, the commentators last night on ESPN (which I can't stand...Kornheiser knows nothing about football) mentioned that Denver is one of the worst in defense and pass coverage. I thought Dre Bly and Champ Bailey were good?

Champ is flat out great, Bly is overrated. If you can't get to the QB it doesn't matter who your corners are. That's where Denver's problem is.

That's a pretty funny statement considering that the Pats caught plenty of breaks on their three super bowl runs, which all seperately ended by a very narrow field goal margin..lol...please go cry somewhere else..but anyway, I'm just a miserable Met/Jet fan, so don't mind me ;)..

Yeah, really. Can the Mets beat Florida anytime soon? And Oakland? The Jets can't beat......Oakland? At least Miami and SD are somewhat good this year. Oh well. Hey at least you have the......hmm...NY Marathon? ;)

Not a pretty game last week against Oakland and the Mets are just plain frustration.

    Is he HOFer material?

Nobody really cares much about steriod use in NFL anyways, so I'd say he is.
He was caught last season and suspended for 4 games.

2 Super Bowl rings. Only player to have at least 30 sacks & 30 interceptions.
One of the Safeties of his era.
