Looks like HBO will be making another kickass series, this time centered around the series by George R.R. Martin that starts with "Game of Thrones." It should be unreal, I have only read the first book, but it is great. The series is arguably the best fantasy series made and the fact that it is on HBO should make it great. It never would have worked for a full length movie.

Next, The Eye of the World Series by Robert Jordan (RIP)

Hmm. I have never heard of this book before, but after checking out the reviews on Amazon I think I decided to buy the book. Hopefully it flows well.

I have only read the beginning, it take a little while to get going but I anticipate it picking up real soon. Those would have read it can't say enough good things. Love that HBO would be taking a whole season per book. Definitely the right way to handle this big book without completely gutting them.

So glad this is getting greenlighted, it would fit so well for HBO. These books are absoutely amazing.
  • i'm halfway through clash of kings and i have a love/hate relationship with the series. the high points are amazing, but the different viewpoints is wearing on me given that some of the characters are so lame and annoying it's painful.

glad to see there are other dorks around here though!
she was underwhelmed, if that's a word
