Concert Night!!

Always the best time is the anticipation before a concert you have had tickets to for months!
When the day finally arrives what do you look forward to
1) What the set list is going to be
2) Meeting up before the show
3) Picking out what to wear
4) Seeing friends you have not seen in a while
5) Taking someone to a band you love for the first time?
Are you the kind of person who plays the bands music all day in anticipation or refuses to listen to them as you get psyched up (I am the latter)
Got a great one tonight! Taking my boys to AC/DC! They have been going crazy asking what they will play, what the show is like, what time they get to stay up to on a school night ( ), what will I buy them! Also taking one of my oldest friends who is recovering from a brain tumor (what could be better than an AC/DC concert for that! ). Very psyched!
Isn't the day of a concert the best!!

put on a slow, dumb show for you
and crack you up
so you can put a blue ribbon on my brain
god I'm very, very frightening
and I'll overdo it'
Build up depends on the show, whether I'm working that day, who I'm going with ...
Tomorrow I'm going solo ... after work ... so no real build up
I must admit i am one of those people who often looks at what a band is playing on their setlist in case their are songs i don't know too well so i can go listen to them.. i know some folks doing like that.
I love to pre game too. Espcially if i can get friends together to go to the show with me. I have gone to far to many shows alone becasue my friends have bad taste in music

For me:
Janaury 29th and 31st Metallica! My fav part is how awesome the show will be!
As for tonight, hope you and yours enjoy it.

for me, it's a lot of things i enjoy. i loved taking my sis to her first PJ shows in 06, that was awesome. this past summer traveling to the east coast, getting to see dear old friends, and meet some for the first time in person was fantastic. when it comes to PJ, the anticipation, what's gonna be on the setlist....the butterflies i get when the lights go down and the crowd explodes whn our boys come out on stage. ahhhhh i get shivers just thinking about it
it's all about the atmosphere, live music is such a high
Sir Mike McCready is....THE MASTER!!! WAHHH!!!
EVENFLOW PSYCHOS H.N.I.C~FEEL THE FLOW!!!

It takes balls to put out a UKE album!
I usually try to go a while without listening to that band, but it rarely happens because I get too excited.
Everything about going to a concert is exciting- meeting people, guessing the setlist, choosing what to wear, checking out the merchandise, finding your seats, bringing friends...but definitely what I look forward to most is just seeing and hearing the band and good crowd participation
But normally I love psyching myself up to the band I'm gonna see. Think about what dream song they might play, just so I can be more blown away when it actually happens. I also usually find myself worrying about what kind of beer the venue will have - don't wanna drink much, but do wanna drink well. And I really love the post-show high, driving home with Band X blaring.

The same across the tour!
I think my favorite moment of being a parent! My ears hurt but well worth it! They really had a good time! My oldest was up with me making the devil sign! Switched into his AC/Dc T and rocked out!
It was a little too loud for the 6 year old but he held on like a trooper! His fav tune is Highway to Hell which was the first encore. The smile that came on his face was priceless.
The car ride home we got stuck in traffic but they passed out. Got home at midnight. They got to school on time
The best part was a guy in the parking lot who could not believe the kids went to the show. He said I wish you were my dad
LOL!!
Yeah the wife loaded up, but my boys were too manly and took the pain
Mom was none too pleased.
nice job, dad
my dad also took us took ac/dc and the rolling stones.
not the same tour, different shows.
fantastic times with the ole man.
we were older than your kids, so we were drunk and high.
outstanding work mr. diamond
edit: and you are right, ac/dc is loud as fuck.
for those about to rock = it had to blow your heads apart, yes/no?
did the venue fall apart due to a cracked foundation?
