How is the view and everything from behind the stage? I'm sitting in section 66 in the 3rd row, so I'm curious as to the atmosphere and the view. Thanks.

i saw them at the forum in LA behind the stage and i thought it was a pretty awesome experience. it's very different, but it's a whole new cool world if you've been to a few shows before. plus they typically play a song or 2 to the crowd behind them (usually Last Kiss). its also cool seeing eddie shade out during a solo to spark up a joint (im assuming) near boom's hammond.

those are AMAZING seats- you are psyched- speakers right in front of you and the best view of the drums in the house- you make the scene- flow the energy through them to the rest of the audience, which throws it back through them to you.

Haha that's about as close as I'll ever get so I don't think so. I've been lucky with Ticketmaster. I got 12th row for Boston 2 in 06. I'm looking forward to the "different" experience, so I'll keep it.

they have small line arrays (what those large hanging stacks of speakers are) in the back to fill. the speakers are timed not to interfere with other speakers that may cancel out frequencies.... sorry im a sound nerd. another words, it's going to sound sweet as pie. the guys at rat sound always do a banging job.

It might be the best concert you'll ever attend. I sat 2nd row Sec 68 for a Led Zep show, 9/19/1070 to be precise, and I almost felt like I was in the band. It was so fucking loud, I almost cried ! The only bad thing was LZ never turned around for a whole song like PJ will, but I'd take those seats anytime !

I'd take those seats any day of the week.

Saw Pearl Jam in those seats at the Boston Garden. It was fucking amazing!

    No, but I was !

That'd be 1970. The day after Hendrix died. A nice tribute by the fellas.

If I'm in the third row, will there be any stage setup that's blocking our view?

I had those seats a few years back... its a great show, sound is great and you see a lot of little things that most people won't. Like Ed sneaking a smoke on the side and so on. Not to mention you some of the Hollywood people and other bands hanging out on the side of the stage. Its pretty cool.
Thats a lovely accent you have. New Jersey?

I have been to numerous shows at MSG from rearstage- ( including U2 and Springsteen numerous times ) -- with the open stage these are beautiful seats-0 and a very interesting perspective point as far as looking out to the sea of people and seeing what the ban sees.

After last night at Camden ( I was in row 1 on mikes side- right on the railing ) I was looking up at how huge the banner artwork is behind the band .

This isnt as small as i thought it was when i saw it the first night in Camden (i was in the back of the orchestra in 104) and this clearly rises above matt by id say at least 6 feet above, and 6 feet below . This may indeed impact our views at MSG from rearstage.
I dont know how they will deal with this issue.
There are also 2 not-as-large banners on each side of the stage , ( the pearl jam cross symbol )

Ill be with you rearstage night 2 , lets hope for no o0bstruction !
