i really don't think, while watching the movie, that Gordon will be dead. what i was surprised is that the way harvey dent got is two face persona. i think i was sal maroni who threw sulfuric acid on dent's face.

HAHA! yea for about 8 minutes i thought he was dead...then i kept thinking about some of the footage i saw on youtube (specifically with him and joker in the jail) and was like, "nah, he's not dead!"

killing rachel was a surprise...i thought two face was going to be the main villain in the 3rd movie. actually a lot of people i know who are big fans thought the same thing, like it was common knowledge. nice twist at the end there.

i just really liked the good vs evil theme. and to what lengths will good go to stop evil? like when fox asks batman "at what cost?" when he is debating helping batman monitor everyone's cell phones. nice parallel to what is happening in today's world. i liked the ferry scene and how both groups of people made the right choice. people actually cheered when that prisoner threw the detonator out the window. batman letting the people still believe in harvey dent and taking the blame for his killings (will make for an interesting plot for the next film)...ledger was amazing. his joker is better than nicholson's. and that is tough for me to say because jack's joker is one of my alltime favorite movie characters. but ledger managed to make this one psychotic and scary but at the same time, fucking hillarious! the classic lines "you complete me" to just the expressions and simple lines like when one mobster says to him "you think you can steal our money and come in here and expect to get away with it?!" --he just goes "yeah."--hahaha. fucking instant classic movie. harvey dent's transformation happened a little too quick to be believable for me- that's my only qualm. but other than that, this is the best movie i've seen in years. best super hero movie of alltime. should be up for multiple awards especially ledger.

im wondering how they will handle the joker. think two-face or one of the mob guys had an in-guy on the swat team and just cut the joker and let him fall or something? they really did leave the joker hanging (pun intended)

the rachel getting killed was awesome. too many times the 'hero' always wins. this was a nice turn.

lil cheesy dialogue there with rachel though...saying "yes i will marry you".......yes it will be really interesting to see how they handle the joker. its kind of obvious that they intended on him being in the next one in some capacity

  • I think they'll will just say the Joker was arrested and is in Arkham now in a secure facility.

I really don't think Two-Face is dead. I think he got knocked unconcious and they had a fake funeral to keep the criminals he convicted behind bars.

I think in the next one Two-Face will remerge and they will add another villian. Probably Catwoman or the Penguin.

OK, people are correcting the words "lo and behold", but I might have missed someone correcting the word "spoiler" in the title surrounded by stars.

Sorry guy.. It's my biggest nightmare to make a title typo! I'm just weird like that. LOL

    Peace

i was surprised at the amount of people in the theatre who thought Gordon died..my wife goes "oohhh no". i tell her he's not dead....he's going to be 'Commisioner' Gordon afterall.

Rachel being killed off wasn't that big of a surprise...Dent had to have a reason to turn other than the fact that his face was scarred...and this fuels Bruce's/Batmans inner turmoil even more.

i also don't think Two Face is dead.

great movie...every time the Joker was on screen he commanded everyones attention! i was almost rooting for him despite the fact that he was so freaking crazy!

hmm, maybe for the third one they can bring in Bane.

    Esther's here and she's sick?

hi Esther, now we are all going to be sick, thanks

I actually thought Gordon was dead. I thought I saw another scene in the preview with him but thought I was mistaken. Then he came back and I was like Thank God!

I love when Joker made his first appearance with the Mob bosses.

"Want to see a magic trick? I'll make this pencil.....DISAPPEAR" and he smashes that guys face down on it.

Heath did a perfect job, that's just the kind of Joker i wanted to see. Not silly ass Jack Nicholson.

Ledger was unreal in the movie. He really had some great lines/reactions.

When he was in the room with the one cop & he asks the cop how many of his friends died and the cops answers "six" - just the way he responds was golden.

Sliding down the money pile was awesome too.

I like how he changed his stories every time he talked about his scars.

How sick did he look in the nurse uniform?

that nurse uniform was sooo creepy. People in the theater I was in were laughing...I was not. I didn't go to the movie to see Ledger's last performance...and MAN was i impressed...what a disturbing, deep character.

Yes, I, too, thought Gordon died...I forgot about the whole "Commissioner Gordon" as soon as i read that a few posts us, I realized that I shoulda known!

Great movie...glad I saw it at 945 AM, cuz if i walked out of the theater by myself at night, i'd have SPRINTED to my car!!!!

I was NOT prepared for that. that's when I realized that the movie was gonna be waaaaaay darker than I thought. that was gnarly--almost as gnarly as Batman dropping the mob guy out of the window and him landing on his feet...ouch.
