Consider this a warning!

Don't stand in a kitchen sink! I almost broke my neck today :(

My bro's a plumber, which is great when anything plumbing related breaks, he'll fix/install things for price of parts and a case of beer :) The downside, since he's working on his own time, he'll fix the problem and then put things back together when he has the time.

My mom was having a problem with some bathroom pipes, so instead of cutting up the bathroom, my brother cut out a section of her kitchen pantry ceiling for easier access. Tired of hearing how their was a hole in her kitchen ceiling for the last two months, I decided to fix it for her today. Or at least try, haha.

I was too lazy to lug the ladder from the basement, so I thought I'd try to manuever standing on the counter top. About 10 minutes into the project, I stood in the kitchen sink to get better footing. After about 5 minutes in the sink . . . CRASH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yep! Sink falls through the counter with me in it! The ride was only about 5 seconds, but one of the scariest moments of my life! Not sure how, but I managed not to fall off the counter!

Long story longer . . . my good deed cost me 200 bucks for repairs and a case of beer :) In the words of my bro "You fucking moron, you never stand in a kitchen sink!!!" Live and learn. Happy spring/summer home improvement projects :)
