Don't stand in a kitchen sink! I almost broke my neck today :(
My bro's a plumber, which is great when anything plumbing related breaks, he'll fix/install things for price of parts and a case of beer The downside, since he's working on his own time, he'll fix the problem and then put things back together when he has the time.
My mom was having a problem with some bathroom pipes, so instead of cutting up the bathroom, my brother cut out a section of her kitchen pantry ceiling for easier access. Tired of hearing how their was a hole in her kitchen ceiling for the last two months, I decided to fix it for her today. Or at least try, haha.
I was too lazy to lug the ladder from the basement, so I thought I'd try to manuever standing on the counter top. About 10 minutes into the project, I stood in the kitchen sink to get better footing. After about 5 minutes in the sink . . . CRASH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yep! Sink falls through the counter with me in it! The ride was only about 5 seconds, but one of the scariest moments of my life! Not sure how, but I managed not to fall off the counter!
Long story longer . . . my good deed cost me 200 bucks for repairs and a case of beer In the words of my bro "You fucking moron, you never stand in a kitchen sink!!!" Live and learn. Happy spring/summer home improvement projects
