When I read stuff like this it actually gives me hope for the future.

    For sure. There are people that can't function in situations like that but I have been tested in negative circumstances (not this this major degree) and I just react. But there are people that just freeze or save themselves.

    I know. I actually think I'm dead inside because when shit like this happens I just take it in stride like I always expect bad shit to happen. Yeah, I'm some kind of freak.

    some people just can't help themselves and I guess it's understandable. not everyone can function in a situation like that and I don't think they should be thought less of cause of that.

    now.. I know people who wouldn't even call the police if they saw someone get beat up or something. that I think is completely fucked up! they think it's sort of "lame" or something only a loser would do. :rolleyes: kind of every man for themselves logic.

    This isn't exactly the same thing. But today I was in the subway and this guy lights up a cigarette. Totally not cool and unsafe. Just when I was going to go over to him (I'm not sure he was all there). The automated announcement comes on about smoking not being allowed. I think the freaking thing sensed the cigarette smoke. That was cool and weird all at the same time.
