nobody is hotter than Lance Berkman in baseball. Not only is he in the top two of the Triple Crown...hes literally carrying the Astros on his back after another hot night against the Dodgers

• He has hits in 16 of his last 20 at-bats as well as in 18 of his last 24;
• He's reached base in 21 of his last 25 plate appearances over his last five games;
• He's hitting .625 (20-for-32) during his current eight-game hitting streak.

.380 BA
12 HR
35 RBI
.783 SLG

you cant stop that kinda heat!

  • He's also carrying the Flying Hellfish, all the way to 11th place. Without Berkman, I'd be in 13th or 14th

    another night of solid offense from Berkman...2-3 with 2 RBIs

    and The Big Puma was stellar on defense at 1st base all night.

    Man I never thought I would be so happy watching the Astros this early in the season!

    Wow, a thread about Lance Berkman on the Message Pit :)

    I believe Berkman needs to go 1-3 today to set a record for most hits in a 30 AB stretch(22 for 30). Only in baseball would I ever know anything obscure like that...

    My friend was going to see Eddie last night. Since he was in Vegas, I gave him 5 Grand to gamble with. I told him I wanted it all to go on Black. Bastard! PhillyCrownOfThorns-11-2-12

    yea....I honestly dont expect him to stay on this streak forever, but I can relish it while its happening!

    Lance Berkman is a class act and has been since day one of playing at Rice University here in Houston....and now that Craig Biggio and Jeff Bagwell are gone...Im happy to see Berkman take control of HIS TEAM. So there ya go....LANCE BERKMAN rules!!! Go Big Puma!

    I know, I was just giving you a hard time. Just like I dont expect Chipper to keep hitting .400 for the year! Enjoy it while you can, I think this is going to be a strange year. The Rays...The Fish..The Twins...Hang on, its gonna be fun! :D

    Chase Utley the best pure hitter in the National League who. Read article in today's Philly paper about his hitting stroke. Pure joy to watch.

    hahahahahahahaha....NO

    The Astros need a trade for PITCHING....but not bad enough to give up their leader. And no offense to AJ Burnett...but a straight up trade isnt happening
