But with free agent signings and trades and office business all summer, the season never really ends ;)

Now there's no sports on tv till September.

But that means all we have is Baseball and Basketball to watch until Football training camp starts in July? That sucks.

The only reason I'm glad it's over is because we don't have to endure Mike Emrick or Pierre McGuire's commentary. Good greif, they f'ing sucked.

NBC cannot present hockey at all. For example, the powerplay camera from center ice overhead was horrible! Sucks to have to rely on them to bring us games in the States.

Where are you in Michigan? In Detroit we get the CBC feed which is much better... Except you have to listen to how great Sidney Crosby is constantly... Atleast the Wings put that little sissy in his place.

yeah i respect hockey and its fans... but I'm glad I don't have to sit through the hockey highlights on SportsCenter anymore.

    Just not my thing...

Now all we need is basketball to go away so we can heavy a steady dose of baseball and football... which will be in the news every day starting the end of June, beginning of July.

    3 minutes too many!

It always looks like they have about 1% the budget of NFL, 5% of the NBA budget, and 10% of the MLB budget... their "Hockey guy" reminds me of the movie "Semi-Pro" sometimes.

But again, I respect the sport and its fans... just not my thing.

I live in the Grand Rapids area. Visiting friends in the Detroit area is always a treat...watching the CBC telecasts.

The Crosby angle really is tiring to hear. He's an awesome talent -- shame on his coach for not playing him in more situations. It's the best way for him to become an even better player.

The NHL is missing out on making such a big deal out of this one player. Sid the Kid as the face of the NHL? If they were smart they'd try a more comprehensive marketing approach that featured more players and teams. The next Gretzky...blah blah blah...wasn't Lindros supposed to be the next Gretzky too?

With so many media outlets and exposure, one would think that we'd get more insightful angles and stories as opposed to the obvious HYPE.

So yeah, regular season and early round playoffs games -- I'll gladly take Fox Sports Detroit (I miss ESPN too) over NBC!

i was glad the REGULAR SEASON was over. playoff hockey is better than the Superbowl......well, not this year with the GGG MEN

i wish every game was as intense as a playoff game, but that would be physically impossible.

Doc Emerick is one of the most exciting and best play by play calls there are out there.
Th3e Devils fans are very lucky to get to hear this guy all season long.
