You and me both...but you knew it was bound to happen because the Packers rightfully moved on after he retired. Favre waffled between playing or not playing so many times this off season the Packers didn't think they could rely on him and committed to Rodgers while Favre couldn't commit to the Packers. Then, after the Packers are ready for the preseason to start Favre starts making a stink and is suddenly recommitted knowing full well the Packers moved on. He has been dragging his feet this whole time because he wanted to go to Minnesota because he has a personal grudge with Ted Thompson and basically told the Packers he is playing for them or against them. Wtf? Brett Favre unfortunately is showing the signs of a true prima donna...unfortunately for the Jets they don't have the WR corps the Packers do and Favre is going to go back to gunslinging without McCarthy to keeping him under control. Brett tried to be bigger then the Packers and I guess in a sense you could say he succeeded. Thankfully, the Packers got rid of this media distraction and sent him outside the division and the conference.

    Go Pack!

    exactly...

it's funny how some dismiss brett's behavior...

at the end of he day, he got what he wanted...attention...when he starts slinging the ball to fellas in the opposite uniforms....folks aren't going to be blaming the packers...

Oh I'm not. I honestly hate the dude with a passion I've never had for an athelete before, that's all. He's a f'ing diva.

On top of that, he's one of the most overrated QBs of all-time IMHO. Just cause John Madden places Favre's junk in his mouth doesn't mean he's any good. Jets will suck and Favre will be benched by the end of the year. I hope he doesn't get hurt, just so there's no excuses.

Peter King is WAY worse than Madden. I thing King had the big O last night when he found out he was going to NY.

Can't wait to see how the good ol' boy from Mississippi handles the New York media after throwing 3 INT's and blowing the game. (Guaranteed to happen)

Well this pretty much seals Pennington's fate. I'm too excited about this simply because there is no young quarterback for Farve to groom. Clemens is a joke so unless the Jets plan on Farve sticking around for a couple of seasons and they trade or draft for a young quarterback prospect this trade is a bust.

ha, i agree with you 100% man. his wishy-washy, crying, diva attitude is just ridiculous. and not in a good way. and john madden, peter king, espn, whoever - they are always up on his balls and be the first to sing his praises loudly. as i said before, he's the only quarterback that can win a game just as easily as he can lose a game for you. overrated...

to be fair, the only good thing about favre is his in-game attitude. off-the-field, he's a diva. and i guess its not his fault he's overrated.

I'm a Jet fan and I don't approve. He will sell tickets and soften the blow when the Jets announce their new ticket plans but he will not deliver a title. He was lame with how he handled this whole mess and based on that fact alone I can't respect the guy. So we get the wildcard or into the second round, is it worth catering to this overrated jock ego maniac.

p.s. Clemens and Pennington blow too! Its miserable being a Jets fan.

    I agree with you.

Not to mention the fact that his receivers lead the league in YAC last year wich greatly helped to iflate some of his numbers.

As a jets fan i want him to do well but expectations need to be limited. We were going to be a borderlin playoff team in the AFC i'm not sure if Brett gets us over the hump and in the playoffs.

If we were in the NFC .... it woudl be different the AFC is stacked right now

i've heard that as well, but at least he didn't need a recliner and a big-screen tv like barry bonds.
