I can't believe it. Seeing PJ tonight in VA Beach and I can barely stand or walk. Has anyone had a similar situation? What should I should I do?

Social awareness does not equal political activism!
5/23/2011- An utter embarrassment... ticketing failures too many to list.
Jeez! I'm sorry hun, but try not to let it spoil your gig :(
I think Rygar's right... a cane or crutches would be the sensible option... and LOTS of ibuprofen.
Good luck x
... and I still think Drive-By Truckers are better.
I ruptured my calf muscle the night before I had tickets to a Detroit Tigers game and it was troublesome to get around to say the least. I would advise arrive early and just hobble to and fro.
You don't really know how important your calf muscle is to you rupture it. I couldn't put my right foot straight when walking for a week, I had to walk with my foot to the side to go forward, I must have looked so strange.

If what you are experiencing is acute heel pain, you might be suffering from Plantar Fasciitis. Look into it. Not fun and can feel absolutely crippling when it flares up.
I suffer from it (too much basketball) and I try to treat it on a daily basis.

Guess no drinking for me tonight :(
That SUCKS! Yes, you have to go though!
hmm...I don't know, drinking would def help with the pain! Jameson's is my best friend and cure-all for everything!
If you can walk on it my guess isit is not ruptured. maybe a tear or something.... but I would say crutches better than cane. You don't want to injure it further or go into traction. and get an x-ray ASAP.
That sounds like Plantar Fasciitis to me. The one thing that might really help for short notice is to stop by a doc in the box kind of place and have them shoot up your heel with a big ol' needle full of Cortizon. It will help for awhile...
After that start treating it every day. It never goes away altogether, but it is manageable.

don't be stupid, go to the doctor, you'll have to walk on crutches but if you don't you could do more damage.
