i think i found a job.

im not to happy about it, its working in a bar and grill. which i have nothing against, my father was a bartender for most of his life. i grew up in a bar.
its just not what my "master plain" was for myself.

i signed a fucking 1 year non compete with my last job, which was Pharmacutical slaes, with a major distributer.

i guess im just afraid of running into people i know, and having to explain myself.

but then again, FUCK them yeah? its hard times, and i need money, right?

i need a few votes of confidence here. lol.

FUUUUUUUUUUCCCCCCCCKKKK!!! my life!! this was not how it was supposed to be!

fuck it, im just feeling sorry for myself. i should be happy right? lots of people are in the same sitiuation and are not finding work, yeah?

shoot me. please.
Peace, Love.

I'm a waitress, supporting my family of 5. The hubby doesn't "work." He is a stay-at-home dad. I make about $35/hour. It's $30/hour at lunch and $40/hour at dinner. I'm sure it's not as much as "Pharmacutical slaes" but it's not bad.
I really screwed that up. I really Schruted it.

  • Sounds good man.. Fuck what other people think, do what makes you happy.

I'm learning that there is no 'master plan'.. not yours, or anyone else's.. we just respond to circumstances. The in between is yours.

Work in the fuckin bar dude, and when you're there... I want several ciders, one after the other, with the occasional mojito thrown in for good measure, OK?

Congrats on finding a job. It may be a stepping stone to other things or it may not. You may find that you like it better than what you were doing before. Who knows. Just make sure there's lots of PJ to listen to and I'm sure you'll be fine.

The best part is that at the end of my shift, I'm done with work. I don't go home and think about my job at all. I love it!

I have had a couple jobs were I signed a non compete and then gone a job just like it. Not many jobs are gonna sue you over it, unless your in televison. I have gone on interviews and told the manager about the non compete thing and they say it wont hold up in court and most wont do anythong about it because you got to make a living and if that is what you have been doing for a long time then they cant stop you from making a living.
    I'll be back

thanks again. : ) you guys rock.

I know what you mean Wolf. That is a hard job to walk away from, good money and you feel good about yourself. I have been there. All I can say is hang in there. Life is short but it takes a long time to get threw it. You will be fine. Its just a nother chapter in your life that you will look back at someday. Keep focused on what you want and where you want to be and you will get there I promise.

Being a bartender is fine for some people. Nothing wrong with it, but the Wolf wants more then that out of life and I respect him for it.

It was sooo much fun. I told my nieces to go there and work. They are 18 and 21...both College Kids with no boyfriend or hubby! It was so much fun, he couldn't handle it at all...he would come up there at night and hang in the bar and keep watch...he couldn't handle it! It was funny...it was a bit..well the outfits were fun, but they were really strict in a lot of ways. They took care of us though...I mean we ate for free and we had every other Sat off...if of course you wanted that day off.. Football and basketball season were the funnest! :D

  • I worked as a server for years and now I have a "real" job that is M-F and right now I HATE it. Talking today with someone I realized I actually enjoyed being a server more than my current job  I may get a part time serving job for some extra cash so I can make some changes in my life.

Do want you want to do.. and want you need to do. Good luck to you :)

Hang in there man! While I was waiting on my first batch of commission checks to roll in from real estate I worked as a waiter and bartender. I fucking hated it!!! I would never go back to it. But with that being said, it paid the bills for the time being and was a lot better than a bunch of other jobs I've had! Best of luck!! :)
